I have already started wearing height increasing insoles but was wondering if are there any other good ways that I can try to increase my height because I want to be as tall as possible ? thanks May 9, 2018 at 9:43 am #177 pakpak 14 Posts What you can do are stretches to help stretch out your spine (note stretches dont actually make your bones grow any taller but just stretch out your body more)? Iv tried them though it really hard to tell if they work because you will only gain a few centimeters if that. I dont actually think there any “real” other way apart from wearing big shoes or standing on a book that are going to make you taller.. taking human growth hormone and other scams you read on the internet simply will not work. sorry. But I hope I have helped a even if just a little bit 🙂 good luck. May 9, 2018 at 9:45 am #178 jennifer 6 Posts “…or standing on a book”; I just couldn’t resist a small giggle at that. Being a 6′ tall woman, I certainly don’t have any advice on getting taller (as a kid I HATED being so tall: I felt awkward, out-of-place, and since I was typically about a head taller than everyone else I got tired of looking at the tops of everyone’s head and needing to bend down or slouch to hear a conversation. Not a fun way to go through adolescence. Things began to change when I went to art school where everyone was different and it didn’t matter. As I got older and wiser (???) I accepted the fact that I was considered tall for a woman. I also accepted that I’d always get comments like “You’re really tall” (how does one respond to this incredible grasp of the obvious without sounding obnoxious???? And, do people think this is news to me?). Luckily, I took classical ballet throughout childhood/adolescence, so I have good posture which does not hide my height. This brings me to my advice to you: stand tall. Own who you are. When you stand and sit up straight and hold your head high you not only look taller, but it also kind of tricks people into believing you are taller because your body language conveys self-confidence. Additionally, good posture will keep you as naturally tall as you can be over time. So, stand up straight and wear those smokin’ high heels if that’s your style (something I don’t generally do since I moved out of NYC: my confidence isn’t so good it can withstand weird comments and children pointing every where I go and they’re not very practical to work my garden or hike in ? , but I do occasionally break ’em out). I know what it’s like to want to change something about your body, but taking drastic or unsafe/unproven measures will only undermine your true worth: you’ll be reinforcing that nasty voice that’s busy trying to make you believe you’re not good enough just the way you are. Shut that voice up and celebrate your beauty. May 9, 2018 at 9:45 am #179 Sammyf 14 Posts And the best answer goes to jennifer! Thank you. Your right Im going to try and ignore what overs have said in the past. I got so down recently and if it wasn’t for other people I probably wouldn’t have even got depressed about my height. May 9, 2018 at 9:45 am #180 jennifer 6 Posts I’m glad I could help. For the record, I know letting go of painful memories is no easy task. For me, it’s a daily job to not let them immobilize me. Some days it’s all I can do to take my next breath, but I do and I wait it out. Sometimes we need to sit with our pain and really feel it (denial will get you no where). Just make sure you don’t stay there. After a bit, get up and move. Take a walk outside, stretch, make a cup of tea…anything. You don’t want to get stuck in that dark place, but sometimes you need to visit it. The key is to have it, rather than it having you (I’ll let you know when I actually accomplish this 100% ? ). Best to you. Peace, Jennifer May 9, 2018 at 9:46 am #181 bella 7 Posts Lol how tall are you? 4ft? You should be happy about yourself and the height you are. Sorry that sounded a bit harsh and a bit hypercritical seeing as I wear high heels but my point is that you shouldn’t get your self down about things like this.
